Beryllium and Flax
Focal Pioneers the combination of a Flax sandwich cone speaker with a Beryllium tweeter, offering a unique balance of low mass, rigidity, and damping for unparalleled sound clarity and precision. This exceptional Flax/Beryllium blend infuses music with remarkable warmth and musicality. The patented Flax cone, meticulously crafted in France, has already proven its excellence in Focal’s home and in-car speakers. The midrange speaker incorporates TMD (Tuned Mass Damping) suspension, while every Kanta speaker features an NIC (Neutral Inductance Circuit) motor, ensuring a stable magnetic field for precise sound reproduction and controlled bass.

High Density Polymer
Every element of the design is meticulously crafted to achieve acoustic softness and warmth in the Kanta speakers. The front panel and cabinet materials are carefully chosen for their density and stiffness, while the angles and double port vents contribute to the overall effect. The front panel, made from High Density Polymer (HDP), is molded in one piece to precisely match the acoustic parameters. This exceptional material outperforms MDF, being 70% denser, 15% stiffer, and offering 25% more damping. The one-piece front panel eliminates any sound diffraction, ensuring pristine audio reproduction. Additionally, the Kanta speakers employ Power Flow technology with front and rear vents, effectively limiting bass compression and enhancing the overall sound experience.
Minimise Distortion
In the quest to minimize distortion at all frequencies, Focal introduces the Kanta series with its revolutionary pure Beryllium tweeter. The IAL3 tweeter, a fusion of IAL and IHL technologies, excels at wave absorption, resulting in a lower tweeter frequency. This innovative design enables the Kanta speakers to deliver precise and distortion-free reproduction of the treble register, immersing listeners in a captivating audio experience.
