Distinct sound

The Uni-Q driver array of the Q-series speaker system positions the tweeter between the midrange and bass cones, bringing the perfect single-point source sonics closer than before. Consequently, KEF's 'tangerine' waveguide amplifies the tweeter, producing a more accurate three-dimensional sound that is dispersed evenly around the space.

Strong tweeter

A new low-distortion inductor in the crossover produces cleaner bass, and a dampening tweeter load tube gently ends sound produced at the rear of the tweeter, significantly enhancing the low-end performance.

Bass that is aggressive

The Q 650c tower speaker's design aims to accurately capture the subtleties of bass music. The KEF drivers produce deeper, clearer bass thanks to their redesigned suspension and bigger roll surround. An upgraded auxiliary bass radiator (ABR) with a revised surround and rear suspension enhances bass sound, while a new cone construction enhances midrange clarity.

Design Feature

The Uni-Q drivers are housed in a special sealed container that lessens the load on the cone, enhancing detail and clarity and producing a clean bass. Driver upgrades improve midrange clarity. As a result, the crossover's DC blocking capacitors are eliminated, enabling a more organic roll-off between drivers.
