The PHT851 is primarily designed for movies, OTT, gaming and surround sound. The 10" down-firing subwoofer is intended to provide the low-end impact for explosions, action scenes and music. The center speaker is particularly important for clear movie dialogue.

One important point: this is a speaker package, not a complete plug-and-play home-theater system. You'll normally need an AV receiver/amplifier to drive the five passive speakers and provide Dolby/DTS processing.
